Office iOS existed only as a suite of apps, each solving a unique problem e.g. writing an email, or creating a spreadsheet. However, it's often what happens in between those tools that tells story of the workday – Who are you meeting? What have they been working on? What is your top priority at any given moment?
As a Sr. Designer on the Office XD team, I was tasked to lead the creation of a productivity app turning data from across all of Office into actionable insights that help workers make the most of their day.

In a joint effort with Microsoft science, I led a design thinking workshop that defined a series of unique scenarios focused around meetings, emails, and documents.
Meet Office "Today", a productivity app that provides a feed of timely actionable insights throughout the day. Important emails are surfaced with helpful pre-crafted responses, meetings are enhanced with Linkedin info about attendees, and document updates are summarized.
